Editorial strategy

Rajdeep Sardesai had stated earlier on how he (read IBN) wanted to focus more on southern states as most of the English speaking populace resides here. His strategy seems to be making more inroads into this audience who gets its staple diet of news from regional biggies. You could see it happening when Rajkumar died. While NDTV kept following on the Bar girls story obviously keeping in mind the Bombay audience, IBN followed Rajkumar's death even lapping it all up with a montage! Atleast everyone in Bangalore was tuning into IBN
